The Orthodox Culture and Education Association held a reception this evening to celebrate the glorious Easter holiday, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Christophoros, Metropolitan of Jordan for the Greek Orthodox, in the main hall of the Cultural and Sports Center at the Orthodox School – Shmeisani. The event was attended by a number of esteemed priests, the President of the Association, Engineer Narmin Sandaha, members of the administrative and general bodies, and a gathering of church members.

The ceremony included the announcement of the association’s initiative to donate a plot of land in the Airport Road area, designated for the construction of a new Orthodox church. This gesture reflects the association’s commitment to its spiritual and national mission, and is a continuation of the legacy of its forefathers in serving the Church and strengthening its presence.

In his address, His Eminence Metropolitan Christophoros expressed his deep gratitude to the association for this generous donation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnership and building bridges between the Church and Orthodox institutions. He also commended the association’s efforts in supporting Sunday schools and youth ministry, and declared his full support for continued cooperation and joint work for the good of the Church and its members.

For her part, Engineer Narmin Sandaha affirmed that this donation fulfills a long-held dream of the association, noting that it is steadily progressing towards translating its mission into tangible projects that serve the community. She also reviewed the most significant achievements of the administrative board over the past four months, along with future plans and strategies aimed at developing the association’s work and strengthening its role in the coming phase.

The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of fraternal joy and the spirit of the Resurrection, as attendees exchanged Easter greetings, emphasizing that the Resurrection of Christ remains a source of renewed hope, calling for action, building, and partnership in serving the Church and society.
